Sebastian Stahn started his professional career in the world of portfolio management with an apprenticeship at the Bavarian Sparkassen Group.

Sebastian then studied Banking and Finance at the University of Applied Sciences Landshut and completed his semester abroad at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge. During his studies he worked for BayernLB in the area of product redesign and asset management savings banks, where he gained a lot of practical experience. In parallel, he contributed significantly to the success of a U.S. start-up in the field of ETFs & Indexing Solutions.
His professional stations include the Austrian Walser Privatbank AG (product and portfolio management), a medium-sized fund house and the treasury of a large insurance group in Salzburg. Since fall 2017, Sebastian has pitched his tents in Munich. At BayernInvest, he was responsible for various special funds and mutual funds as Senior Fund Manager Multi Asset and Deputy Head of Department. In the meantime, as Head of Investments, he is responsible for the investment strategy of the special funds of the Association of the Bavarian Metal and Electrical Industry (Verband der Bayerischen Metall- und Elektro-Industrie e.V.). As an institutional investor, Sebastian now deals with a wide range of aspects related to sustainability and ESG.
Bei der GGX ist Sebastian als Mitglied des Advisory Boards unter anderem auch Teil der Ratings Working Group bzw. des Ratings Committee, welche derzeit das Modell und die operationellen Standards für die Erstellung von ESG-Ratings auf Einzelunternehmensbasis erarbeitet.
As a member of the Advisory Board at GGX, Sebastian is also part of the Ratings Working Group and the Ratings Committee, which is currently developing the model and operational standards for the preparation of ESG ratings on an individual company basis. In his private life, Sebastian can be found relaxing with his family on canoe tours on the Isar river, camping or hobby beekeeping with his father.
