Sebastian Stahn started his professional career in the world of portfolio management with an apprenticeship at the Bavarian Sparkassen Group.

Sebastian then studied Banking and Finance at the University of Applied Sciences Landshut and completed his semester abroad at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge. During his studies he worked for BayernLB in the area of product redesign and asset management savings banks, where he gained a lot of practical experience. In parallel, he contributed significantly to the success of a U.S. start-up in the field of ETFs & Indexing Solutions.
His professional stations include the Austrian Walser Privatbank AG (product and portfolio management), a medium-sized fund house and the treasury of a large insurance group in Salzburg. Since fall 2017, Sebastian has pitched his tents in Munich. At BayernInvest, he was responsible for various special funds and mutual funds as Senior Fund Manager Multi Asset and Deputy Head of Department. In the meantime, as Senior Investment Manager at finccam, he is responsible for the investment strategy of special institutional funds as well as external CIO of family office portfolios. As an institutional investor, Sebastian now deals with a wide range of aspects related to sustainability and ESG.
At GGX, Sebastian is on the Advisory Board and was part of the Ratings Working Group, which developed the model and operational standards for the preparation of ESG ratings on an individual company basis. Also, he is part of the Ratings Committee and Index Committee.
